In November, 1917, Mr. Coleman was sent out to the Far East by Wellington House (which was at that time a section of the Foreign Office but has now been merged in the Eastern Section of the Ministry ɗ Information and is now under the control of Mr. I. E. Long) to co-ordinate Propaganda in the Far
Fast.
Mr. Coleman visited Hongkong and appointed a Committee to look after Propaganda in general. This Committee
consisted of
Mr. C. Montague Ede, Chairman.
r. L. H. Leefe,
Mr. F. A. Perry,
Mr. S. B. C. Ross, Secretary.
These appointments were confirmed by the Secretary of State.
The Committee appointed in May being functus officie, although never formally dissolved, ceased to have any corporate existence.

WORK DONE BY THE PROPAGANDA COMMITTEK.
The Propaganda Committes, by which term is meant the Committee last appointed, then undertook the work of propagan- -da in general, md its activities may be considered under four
heads:-
